Christmas Inspiration

Tonight I decided to get some inspiration for my christmas decorating,  I looked back through pictures I took when I worked at Sycamore Springs, creating wreaths and centerpieces ! I really enjoyed the creativity and being able to have so many beautiful things to work with ! However this being the busy time of year there I rarely ever got a chance to decorate my own home the way I wanted to and didn't really have alot to work with at home, so the past few years I've been collecting nice things after christmas at highly discounted prices =)  !!! I've now went into photography and once again this is my busy time of year creating christmas pictures ! This year I am determined to decorate my house the way I want it to be! I'll just have to burn some midnight oil!! I love when the kiddo's come home all excited to see the changes I've made =) they are old enough that they can enjoy it! !

I filled this stand with 3 little boxwood trees and then surround them with greens ( you could use fresh or artificial, if you use fresh,  poke the stems into the boxwood pots and your greens will stay nice longer if you water the boxwoods) and added berries and several ornaments !
I filled an outdoor pot with a plastic pot liner and then made this arrangement with artificial things so it could be popped out and stored later.  I want to make something like this with fresh greens and artificial  fruits for outside my door and create a wreath to match.

Another outdoor arrangement, there was a pair of these made of
a front doorway.

This was also made for outdoors, I love the pineapple & fruit look ! Wish I also had a few of those pheasant feathers !!

A wreath  made with ornaments, pointsettias & feathers on an artificial base.
A spread from one of Sycamore Springs Open House's,   mmm mmm !!
Take a look at their website for more things I've made under Florals  http://www.underthesycamore.com/ Anyway this was a blast from my past and I hope it inspires you to decorate in new and more creative ways ! ps coming soon, a home I helped decorate for christmas !

Check out this blog!

Hi friends ! check out this blog by my friend, Regina Lynn Martin. She recently moved from our area to the mid west and has been working at building a photography business. I love her style of taking pictures of ordinary objects and making them look like works of art! She has recently taken the 50 50 50 challenge of taking 50 pictures  in 50 days with her 50 prime lens !  So she's been posting new pictures and her humor and writing makes it worth the trip to her blog! Please leave her a message and let her know how you think she's doing ! Messages mean alot  =)    http://reginalynnphotography.blogspot.com/
