Fall Fun Day at EMS

It was a rainy morning but they decided to host our fall fun day anyway since the scheduled rain day was calling for even more rain! Around lunch the rain did clear off for the rest of the day and we managed to continue with the festivities. The classes came outside to eat lunch, then Mrs Heller had  several games and a straw bale decorating contest. Each class plan a design for their straw bale and then put them together that day and several of the school staff served as judges.

Kindergarten created this package as their entry.

First Grade created a Birthday cake ....

..complete with birthday candles !

Second grade created a baseball player and he won 2cd place !!!!!

Third grade created an Indian Brave, complete with bow & arrows !

Fourth grade created a hot air ballon using the bale as the basket ! and put balloons under a cover to create the top! Very create ! The only picture I have is with the entire class and i was trying to protect the privacy of the students by not showing the children online. please call me if you would like some of the pictures ( no charge =)

Fifth grade also created an Indian brave with his home!

Sixth grade created a radio complete with cord & a wall socket to plug into ! They won 1st place for their efforts !

They called their spot on the radio 598 for the school's addresss and .6 for their grade

Ninth grade created a baby Bale in his high chair!
Tenth grade had a football player and Eleventh & Twelth grade combined had a very festive family of scarecrows called the 'Bale" family !

We even had a scarecrow at the festival !

Mrs Heller, the recess teacher had arranged several guessing games, a scavenger hunt, pumpkin roll , bean bag toss & pie eating contest. Parents were invited to come and eat lunch with their child and then participate in some of the games. the weather did turn out to be sunny !!
