Thinking about Graduation Time!

This is the time of year that seniors are dreaming of ! They've been working & waiting so long for this day to be here. Two years ago I was asked to take pictures for Pleasant Valley Mennonite School 2008 Senior class. They were fun to work with, willing to try different things!

Flash back to my very first baby session !

I remember this photo shoot well because Olivia was the first baby I photographed and created birth announcements for!  It was so scary and yet so exciting because of the possiblities it was opening up for me. I did lots of research to come up with ideas for pictures and Olivia's mom had some ideas for the cards.

I caught her sucking her thumb! She was sooo adorable !

Ten little fingers and ten little toes !!
Mommy & Daddy were so thrilled with their baby !
..and now my very first cards!!

It's fun to go back and see where it all started and then to realize that Olivia is almost 3 ! Where has the time gone !

Spring has sprung !!!

Wwoo hoo !! Spring is here !! I was not thrilled with all the rainy & windy weather we've beeen having however it sure made the green pop out ! Yesterday I went out to see what was coming up and what is budding in the Garden!
My crocus's are ready to bloom ! My favorite spring bulbs are Daffodils and Bluebells, but I like crocus's because they bloom so early !

The creek is nice and full from the rain we've had. The creekbank will soon turn blue when the vinca goes into bloom ! Years ago the neighbor was digging clumps out and asked if we wanted them, so we planted them along the top of the creek bank. Now the vinca has grown down to the creek and does a great job of the keeping weeds down. The other side of the creek bank is covered with the wild orange daylilly and looks nice until it stops blooming,  then they kind of turn yellow & look nasty, I've found it's better to just trim them back & let the new growth take over !
Boys will be boys ?   Dillon was sloppin in the creek while I was out taking pictures !
About 6 yrs ago I dug out bulbs at a house that was being demolished and transplanted them to my garden. Some I planted arround this tree and others arround the hammock. It took 2-3 yrs before they started blooming and now they have many flowers ! " Good things come to those who wait " is the saying!
My Favorite Spring bulb ! They remind me of growing up on the farm. We had some planted behind the house and they bloomed really early because they were next to the house on a sheltered side and had the dryer vent there to warm them up!
I was facinated with the honeysuckle vines and the new growth popping out!

I've decided to give you plant people a little test! Below are plants/ bulbs just poping thru the ground. Can you guess what they are? I will post the answers in a day or 2! You can leave your answers in the comment section!
