Darren & Lucinda Weaver 4-3-10

Congrats to Darren and Lucinda !  Another beautiful morning and a blooming tree that went with the wedding colors!
This is the 3rd wedding I've done for Lucinda's family!
       I would like your opinions on the picture above and below. It is the same picture but different effects. The one above is right from the camera and has a haze and flare from the sun . The one below I played with the contrast and added a soft white vingette.

Overdue answers to the plant quiz !!

4. Meadow Rue (Thalictrum)  Likes moist soil in pt. sun. grows 18-24'' tall with clouds of pinky/purple flowers in late spring.
 
5. Tete Tete's ( mini daffodils) During the almost 20 years I worked at a greenhouse, we often had these bulbs left after Easter, so I would bring them home and plant them in my gardens!

   1.   Annual Perennial exchange at Martindale Mennonite Church on Monday May 3th, 2010. Our theme this year is "Natures gifts " , showing unique ways of creating beautiful & functional pieces from nature to display in your gardens and patios.Do you have a project created from natural materials? Bring along a picture to share with everyone. Church opens at 5:45 with the plant exchange at 6:30. 
 
 
 2.   Join the Ephrata Mennonite School on Thurs. May 6, for a plant exchange ! The exchange is held outside near the school nature center. Opening at 1pm   
 
INFORMATION-
Bring your perennials, annuals, shrubs, bulbs, groundcovers, and herbs in containers/ bags and tagged with plant name, height, growing conditions = sun / pt. shade / shade, flower color,and any info that will help the next person ! Come early to place your plants in the correct places and check out the selection. bring along plant books to help identify plants and a lawn chair!
