Sunday ' walk about'

Walk About - to walk with no particular goal.

This past Sunday was the peak of fall color in our area and it was a beautiful fall day, so we went on a Walk About with my brother Mike & his family and my parents. First we drove to Never Sink Mt.  in Mt. Penn and walked the hiking paths, it was so beautiful, I was way behind because I kept finding things to snap pictures of!

Next we headed over to Antietam Lake. The reflection of the trees on the lake was beautiful.

Then we decided to go up to Reading's Skyline Drive.

We stopped along the drive at the old fire tower. Just as we drove in a man opened up the building, and some of our group climbed up to the top. They were actually outside on the very top! Mike took pictures of the towers on 3 mile island and a buildings in Philidelphia!

I took this picture for the moon showing above the trees.
Our next stop along the drive was the Pagoda. It's the building you see at night above Reading on the mountain and is lit up with red lights.

The view was increible, esp. as the sun was going down!
Looking out over the city of Reading.

While Dave & Dillon checked out the building to see if it was open, i was taking lots of pictures. This building has lots of really neat details, notice the golden lion heads on the corners. The building was closed,  it's only open on Sat. & Sun. from 12 to 4pm.

What a beautiful day it was, I kept thinking, I wish I could bottle some of this up for the winter.
